About
The New Puritans is a small community of lay people from Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lancaster PA. We come from diverse backgrounds and yet we have found ourselves united in doctrine and in Spirit. Our blog is a place for us to write about our growth and journey through the world, engaging with culture both in the Church and outside of it.
The name, “The New Puritans” does not mean that we are trying to start a new branch of Puritanism, nor does it mean that we are putting ourselves on the same level as great men such as John Owen or Jonathan Edwards. Rather, it means that we are a new generation of young believers who are concerned with the purity of the Church in all areas of faith, doctrine, and practice.
Ws encouraged by your blog. Also recommend another blog – imrah.org having a group of youth with a mission similar to yours. Can you write something on spiritual warfare? Generational curses etc. A lot of churches here in India appear to be moving in that direction
Wow now THAT is a request! That is a heavy handed topic for sure. I can’t promise anything immediate but I think that we could work towards addressing that issue. It is one that many churches in the US are moving towards as well. Thanks for the encouragement and keep up your work as well.
Hello, just came across your website and saw you are from Lancaster. I am from Reading. I am a pentecostal minister, who has been and is continually greatly influenced by the Puritans.
What other types of ministry are you involved in with your church or lives?
Many Blessings in Christ!
Well I don’t know if we would consider THIS blog a “ministry”, its more of a public forum for our spiritual journey. Still, for myself, I’m currently involved w/ our church’s home fellowship ministry. I’ll be co-teaching a series on Galatians w/ an elder.
